Fundraising

Due to Lyndon now stepping away from paraswimming and announcing his retirement. He has now set his sights on completing a new challenge. This involves training over the next 12 months towards completing an Ironman Triathlon under 24 hours. However, Lyndon is aiming to be the first quad amputee to achieve this target.

The challenge has been attempted once, this was back in 2007. The time set was over 24 hours but not exact time is known. Through all the research conducted before pursuing the challenge, it is found that this has never been completed.

Lyndon has sought advice and has put together a strong support team which will be with him over the next 12 months.

While Lyndon will be doing the challenge, he is allowing Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) to produce research around the challenge.

Support Lyndon Longhorne with the Challenge

Not only will Lyndon allow LJMU to do the research. He is also raising money towards charity. The charities that have been chosen are MeningitisNow and Mens Mental Health.

These are 2 vital charities which have strong meaning to Lyndon’s selection. If you would like to donate, please click below to support. Any donation is much appreciated. The journey that Lyndon is on will be broadcast weekly on Youtube with a roundup of what has been going on. Make sure you subscribe to the channel to stay up to date.

Once again Lyndon thanks you all in advance for the generous donations.
